Lakeview Perks – Program Terms and Conditions – Revised and effective January 1, 2021
- Overview
- The Lakeview Perks Program ("Perks Program") is a customer loyalty program that rewards travelers who stay at participating hotels. The Perks Program is operated by Lakeview Management Inc. ("LMI") for all Lakeview branded property locations both owned and licensed.
- Enrollment, membership, and all related benefits of the Perks Program, including the use of the www.lakeviewperks.com website, is offered at LMI's discretion and subject to these terms and conditions and the Lakeview privacy policy.
- By participating in the Perks Program, members signify they have read and understand these terms and conditions and are bound by all of them.
- Lakeview may add, modify, or delete any Perks Program term or condition, in its sole discretion, with or without notice, and may terminate the Perks Program at any time without notice.
- As a member you consent to LMI collecting and using your personal information in accordance with LMI's privacy policy. LMI does not sell its membership lists, emails or contact information.
- Membership
- Applicants must possess a valid email address at which you are able to receive messages.
- To enroll in the Perks Program, applicants must have a permanent address and be an individual who is at least 18 years of age or of the age of majority in the place where the applicant lives, whichever is older.
- To enroll in the Perks Program as a Corporate member an applicant must also be an authorized representative to act as an account holder for the organization, or company named on the application.
- Applicants may enroll in the program as a “Leisure” member or as a “Corporate” member, but not as both.
- Leisure members collect points only on rooms they have both paid for and personally stayed in. This account is for personal use only.
- Corporate members earn and collect points for multiple rooms purchased by or on behalf of an organization, or company regardless of whether or not they have stayed in the room. Member must be both an authorized representative and account holder for that organization or company and be a current and valid employee at the same company or organization. Corporate approval and proof may be requested.
- A corporate member may not be registered under more than one company name. Contractors providing services to other companies may only collect points for his/her own employees and those of his/her customer.
- Corporate members are bound by their company policy regarding loyalty programs.
- Rewards and redemption points differ between corporate and leisure members.
- LMI reserves the right to limit Perks Program enrollment at any time. LMI may discontinue a membership and void your account balance if any points were issued, received, or redeemed through fraud, theft, illegally, or not as authorized in these Terms and Conditions. These rights are in addition to any other legal or equitable remedy, which may be available to LMI under applicable law.
- You may deactivate your account at any time by contacting LMI in writing at; Lakeview Perks Administration, 600 - 185 Carlton Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 3J1. All unredeemed Lakeview Perks Points shall be forfeit upon account deactivation.
- Member Obligations
- Members must identify themselves as a Lakeview Perks member upon check-in to earn Perks points on eligible bookings and provide their membership card upon request.
- Offers from the Perks Program are specifically targeted to valid and active members. Unless otherwise allowed in an offer, members agree not to forward promotions or offers to anyone else without first obtaining LMI written permission.
- Members agree to promptly notify LMI of any change in personal or corporate information as it applies by updating their account at www.lakeviewperks.com or by emailing info@lakeviewperks.com.
- Members agree to notify Lakeview Perks Administration within 30 days if their membership card is lost or stolen.
- Name changes must be made in writing and include supporting legal documentation, signature, date, and member account number. Send name change requests to: Lakeview Perks Administration, 600-185 Carlton St. Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J1 This applies to both corporate and leisure membership name change requests
- Any claim for Perks points not credited to a members account profile must be received within 30 days of claimed accrual. Please email info@lakeviewperks.com. LMI reserves the right to require proof of stay for a Perks point entitlement.
- Earning & Collecting Perks Points
- While most stays earn Perks points, not all possible rates qualify. Package rates are not eligible for point’s collection.
- To collect points, you must book either directly with a participating hotel, via our toll-free line at 1.877.355.3500, or at www.lakeviewhotels.com.
- All bookings through third party sites shall not be eligible or awarded points when the stay is booked through but not limited to: Expedia, Priceline, Hotwire, Orbitz, Travelocity, Booking.com, Hotels.com, Etc.
- Perks Program members are eligible to earn and collect points by purchasing stays at participating hotel properties according to their membership as a valid leisure or corporate member, and to redeem points on your member account for specified and approved rewards.
- LMI will attempt to credit a member account within 5 business days following checkout. However, members are responsible to confirm that Perks points have been properly credited to the member account profile.
- Collection of points begins on the date of registration. Points shall not be awarded retroactively for previous stays.
- Perks Leisure members can earn Perks Points for rooms they both pay for and stay in that are not a hotel package or promotional rate. If more than one Perks Leisure member is staying in the same room, Perks Points can be split between members, but only if payment for the room is also split.
- Occasionally some locations will offer Bonus points. Bonus points programs are available to Leisure members only. Members must check with the front desk to determine if their stay qualifies and or if the particular location is participating in the Bonus Points programs. Bonus points apply on one room only. Not all bonus points’ options are available at all hotels.
- Perks Corporate members can collect points on all rooms purchased by or on behalf of your organization, or company regardless of whether or not they have stayed in a room, as long as they are both an authorized representative and account holder for that organization, or company. Bonus point options do not apply to corporate members or their stays.
- Except where required by law or provided for in these terms and conditions, Perks points have no cash value.
- Redeeming Lakeview Perks Points
- Perks points may be redeemed only for rewards offered through the Perks Program via its website at www.lakeviewperks.com.
- When an item is purchased with Perks points, the corresponding number of points will be automatically deducted from the members account immediately.
- Gift cards purchased using Perks points will only be shipped to addresses within Canada and the United States.
- The usability of gift cards and other merchandise offered from third parties via the Perks Program is subject to their terms and conditions and not that of the Perks Program or any of its affiliates.
- A credit card is required to reserve rooms for all point stays and also at the hotel front desk for free night stays. Perks points may cover the cost of the room for 2 adults, but not additional adult charges or incidental charges billed to a room.
- When you wish to redeem Perks points for a stay at a participating hotel property, you may choose one of the following redemption methods:
- By calling to reserve a room at a participating hotel property front desk or by calling 1.877.355.3500. You must advise the reservation agent when making your reservation that you want to redeem Perks Points. Online reservations are not currently eligible to create Perks bookings.
- By redeeming your Perks Points for a Free Night Certificate at www.LakeviewPerks.com. This certificate will be mailed to you within 7 business days of your order date to the members account profile address.
- Once Perks Points have been redeemed for a Free Night Stay Certificate, the certificate may not be returned or points for same refunded to your account for any reason, including if a Free Night Certificate is stolen or lost. Lakeview is not responsible for lost, late, mutilated, or misdirected mail. Free Night Certificates are transferable to allow for gift giving.
- To use a Free Night Certificate, the holder must book in advance by calling the hotel directly or through our toll-free reservations office at 1.877.355.3500, and inform the reservation agent that you wish to use a Free Stay Certificate. This certificate must be presented at check in.
- Free Night Stay Conditions
- Free night stays must be booked in advance. Rooms may not be paid for using Perks points unless originally booked as a Perks room.
- A member account must contain the required number of points for the stay booked under Perks.
- Perks or point stays will have points deducted at check-in time for the entire stay booked.
- Each participating hotel may provide only a portion of their rooms as available to reserve with Perks points. These rooms are subject to property availability; local restrictions and blackout dates may apply and will vary by location. LMI recommends member’s book their room early for the best chance of getting the property and date you desire.
- Free accommodation using Perks points are based on a maximum of two adults per room. An extra charge will apply for additional adults in the room and varies by location. Points do not cover any other incidental charges that are billed to the room.
- Free Night Stays on the Perks program are permitted for a maximum of three consecutive nights. Perks points stays longer than three nights are not available.
- At least one night stay paid for by other acceptable means must occur in between Perks stays.
- Account / Transferability of Lakeview Perks Points
- Perks points can be transferred from one Leisure member account to another Leisure account if all of the following apply:
- The transfer is between program members in the same household (having the same principal residence).
- A written authorization to transfer Perks points is signed by both parties and sent to Lakeview Perks at 600-185 Carlton Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J1. Once the transfer request has been received and processed, the transferor relinquishes all rights to the transferred Perks Points.
- Perks points may not be transferred from one corporate account to another or from one Corporate account to a Leisure account under any circumstances or from a Leisure to a Corporate account.
- Perks points can be transferred from one Leisure member account to another Leisure account if all of the following apply:
- Perks Points/Account Expiry
- Perks accounts without a qualifying stay within a three year period since last qualifying stay are considered to be abandoned, such accounts will be closed and all points forfeit.
- A valid account is one with Perks points awarded through a qualifying stay at a participating hotel, or one which has incurred a point’s redemption for an eligible award.
- Birthday bonus point awards are not considered activity for the purpose of keeping an account active. Birthday points are awarded for the primary Leisure Member only.
- To prevent account deactivation, members must collect Perks points on an eligible stay at any Lakeview-Branded property, or redeem points for a free-night stay, free stay certificate, or merchandise offered at www.LakeviewPerks.com.
- LMI reserves the right to suspend, change, or terminate the Perks Program in part or in whole; to add, delete, or change partners; to modify, limit, or suspend transferability procedures; to modify, limit or suspend the use or redemption of Perks points; to modify or change redemption procedures, including the number of Perks points required for particular rewards; to modify, limit, or suspend the collection of Perks points, including but not limited to imposing time limits and changes in point values.
- All merchandise and/or offers are available while supplies last and are subject to change and/or revocation without notice.
- LMI reserves the right to alter, limit, modify, terminate or add to the Program and these Terms and Conditions, including without limitation, our Privacy Policy.
- When LMI makes changes to these Terms and Conditions, LMI will replace these Terms and Conditions with the revised Terms and Conditions on the Lakeview Perks website. Continued participation in the Perks Program and use of our website following a change will indicate a member’s acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions.
- Perks members are responsible for updating their membership profile at www.lakeviewperks.com. If the last email address provided is not valid, or for any other reason not capable of delivering the notice, LMI emailing of the notice to the known last email address will constitute notice of the changes.
- Communication of material changes by email above will be sufficient notice of material changes and members agree to assume responsibility for reviewing the revised Terms and Conditions from time to time.
- Continued participation in the Perks Program or use of our website following such notice will indicate acceptance of the Terms and Conditions. A member who does not agree to the changes must notify us immediately that they wish to deactivate their Perks Program account with LMI
- Pre-existing Lakeview Perks members with accounts prior to May 31, 2019 were notified via email on May 31, 2019 as per then current terms and conditions, that an opt-in form was required to be filled out at lakeviewhotels.com/Lakeview-Perks-opt-in to convert their accounts to a new leisure or corporate account.
- The opt-in had been set as a one-time option to choose between Perks Leisure, or a Perks Corporate account type, and may not be altered once committed to.
- Accounts not converted to the new platform by January 31, 2021 shall be considered to be abandoned and all points forfeit.
